PERSONAL: LIFE UPDATE & MY 2016 PLANS

Wenn dieser Post online geht, bin ich gerade auf dem Weg zum Flughafen, nach nur einer kurzen Woche in Malmö. Und ich werde eine ganze Weile nicht zurück kommen. Am Anfang des Jahres hatte ich bis auf die Hoffnung im Juni meinen Bachelor zu machen und die Zusage irgendwann im Juli oder August bei den Olympischen Spielen in Rio de Janeiro zu arbeiten, keine Ahnung wie mein 2016 aussehen würde.
Seitdem haben sich beinahe alle Lücken bis Anfang Oktober gefüllt und da das Planen für diese Monate mich auch vom Posten hier abgehalten hat, gibt es heute ein kleines Update zu meinen Plänen und Reisen im Laufe des Jahres.
Wenn ich heute Abend in Kopenhagen ins Flugzeug steige, geht es für mich nach hause, also zu meiner Mama nach Bremen. Außer vier Supervisionen habe ich dieses Semester nicht eine einzige Vorlesung, dass diese viele freie Zeit, statt fürs alleinige Prokrastinieren der großen Arbeit, eigentlich besser dafür geeignet ist ein wenig Geld für Brasilien zusammen zu kratzen versteht sich. Glücklicherweise ist auf das Mercedes Benz Werk in Bremen auch in diesem Jahr Verlass und nach vier Sommern, stürze ich mich das erste Mal im Frühling ans Fließband. Durch diesen Job verbringe ich also meinen kompletten März und den halben April zuhause in Deutschland und auch, wenn ich den Großteil der Zeit bei meiner Mama leben und arbeiten werde, habe ich in den ersten zwei Wochen Zeit für ein bisschen Qualitytime mit meinem wundervollen Papa, den ich viel zu lange immer nur mal kurz zwischendurch gesehen habe, meiner besten Freundin und dem Herzmann.
Mitte April geht es dann mit einer hoffentlich weit fortgeschrittenen Bachelor-Arbeit bis Juni zurück in mein geliebtes Malmö, wo Valborg, Fika und alle anderen Vorzüge des schwedischen Lebens noch einmal in vollen Zügen genossen werden wollen.
Offiziell endet mein Semester am 5. Juni mit der Verteidigung meiner Arbeit und danach verbringe ich den Rest des Junis hoffentlich mit einem Praktikum.
Die letzten noch nicht verplanten Wochen bis Oktober sind dann drei Wochen im Juli, in denen ich mich hoffentlich vom Bachelorstress erholen kann und meine Master-Bewerbungen verschicken kann, ein noch sehr ungeliebter Punkt der To Do-Liste.
Danach kommen allerdings nur noch wundervolle Erfahrungen auf mich zu: Ende Juli fliege nach Rio de Janeiro und werde dort einen Monate in einem wunderschönen kleinen Zimmer im Künstlerviertel Santa Teresa und als Volunteer im olympischen Reitsportzentrum verbringen. Für mich als absolutes Pferdemädchen und Südamerikafan eine unglaublich tolle Möglichkeit und als wäre das nicht schon genug, werde ich danach noch fünf weitere Wochen auf meinem Lieblingskontinent verbringen und hoffentlich die Südküste Brasiliens, die Iguazu-Fälle, Buenos Aires und Montevideo in Uruguay gemeinsam mit dem Herzmann entdecken.
2016 involviert dank meines Jobs im Frühling nun doch sehr viel mehr hin und her als ursprünglich geplant, aber die Vorfreude auf alle wundervollen, zukünftigen Erlebnisse ist riesig und ich bin ganz verzückt wie absolut gut alles zu funktionieren scheint.
Ich freue mich so sehr auf meine grandiose Familie, auf meine letzten Wochen in meinem geliebten Malmö, auf ein viel versprechendes Praktikum und so unglaublich sehr auf Südamerika mit dem Mann, den ich liebe.
Obwohl ich immer noch ein wenig panisch bin, weil ich nicht genau weiß wo ich ab Oktober leben, was ich studieren und wie ich das ganze organisieren werde, bin ich mir absolut sicher, dass dieses Jahr unglaublich werden wird und ich bin voller Dankbarkeit, wenn ich in die Zukunft blicke. Ich hoffe ihr alle begleitet mich auf dieser Reise und ihr werdet meine Post von all den Orten, die ich besuchen were mögen. Seid ihr an etwas besonders interessiert? Und wie sehen eure Pläne für dieses Jahr aus?
When this post goes online I am on my way to the airport after only one week in Malmö. And I will not be coming back for a while. At the beginning of this year I had no idea how this year would look like, except for the fact that I would hopefully manage to graduate in June and that at one point in July or August I would work at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Since then quite a large amount of the gaps until October have been filled and since a lot of the planning for the next months has kept me from posting here regularly I thought I would at least let you know, where my journey is going.
When I am boarding my flight at Kastrup tonight I will be flying home, as in my mother´s home close to Bremen in Germany. Due to the fact that I have exactly four supervision seminars for my Bachelor thesis and literally not a single other class this semester, I had hoped to be able to use some of this time to work and get some money in for Brazil. Luckily I could get another holiday job at the Mercedes factory in Bremen, where I have worked every summer since high school. This means that I will spend March and half of April in Germany and while I will be working and living with my mom the majority of the time, the first two weeks I will get to spend some quality time with my amazing dad, which has definitely been lacking over the last few months, my best friend and my boyfriend.
After I am done with work (and hopefully also a chunk of my thesis) I am back for another month and a half in my beloved Malmö, hopefully enjoying as much of Valborg, Fika and all other lovely things Swedish as I can, while finishing up my BA. I will be officially done with school after the opposition seminar of my thesis and then I will hopefully spend the entire rest of June at an internship.
So far the last few weeks I have not filled with plans are three weeks in July, where I hopefully get to unwind from my Bachelor, as well as filling my application for Masters programmes, which is another rather dreaded point on my to do list.
But after that, there are only wonderful things to come, as I will spend a month in Rio de Janeiro working within the Equestrian area of the Olympic Games, an absolute amazing opportunity, that I as a huge horse and horseback-riding lover could not be more excited for. I will be flying out of Frankfurt at the end of July, I have booked an adorable little room in the bohemian quarter of Rio Santa Teresa and as if that would not be enough I will stay in my beloved South America for an additional five weeks afterwards, hopefully seeing the Southern coast of Brazil, the Iguazu falls, Buenos Aires and Montevideo in Uruguay with the boy that I love by my side.
2016 is turning out to be a lot more back and forth than expected, but I am so excited for all the things to come and all the amazing opportunities that have opened up and how wonderfully everything just seems to be working out.
I am looking forward to my time at home with my lovely family, to some last weeks in my beloved Malmö, to a promising internship and so incredibly much to South America with the person I love. While I am still a little freaked about how my life will continue in October and how and where and especially in what I will do my Master, I am sure this year is going to be absolutely incredible and I am full of gratitude, when I look ahead. I hope you will all stay with me on this journey and you will like my posts from all the places I will go. Is there anything that interests you especially? Bei dir ist ja einiges spannendes los! Mein Plan oder besser die kommende Zeit ist das totale Gegenteil: Lernen, lernen, lernen. Mehr wage ich mich gar nicht zu planen. Anfang nächsten Jahres steht bei mir das 1. Staatsexamen an und das hat oberste Priorität. Großartig Urlaub ist daher auch nicht geplant. Eher spontan sehen, was sich ergibt. :)
